WOYWW

This is my 3rd week and I was very nervous about joining in and now..... I'm and addict I can't wait for Wednesday's to come around especially after all the lovely comments I've had....Thank you very very much!!!

ok down to business - Last week Kaz said she thought she'd spotted a "hill" through my craft room window. Well as I live in Wales it's quite easy to spot a "hill" or two and we generally call them mountains!!!!!! so here is the view from my window especially for Kaz (by the way the daffodils are in a vase on my windowsill not in the garden!!!)

Well the tidy fairy has left me and you messy crafters out there will be pleased to know my desk is back to normal this week!!

Clock in progress...... This is a piece of mount board covered in Ferro and stamped into with Paper Artsy and Hero Arts stamps. I painted it with kaiser paint and DI's. Not really happy with the colours yet...needs a bit more work!!!!!
and eventually it will be attached to this......not sure how yet!!! This is an IKEA mirror (with the mirror removed) covered with patterned paper and stamped using DI's. The butterfly in the top corner is metal and a cuttlebug die and I've got a few more bits and bobs to add to it and hopefully you will see the finished piece very soon....fingers crossed!!

I'm hoping to enter this into "The Sunday Stampers Challenge"(link on the side of my blog) lots of lovely stash to be won as she's celebrating her 100th weekly challenge so pop over to Hels Sheridans blog and give it a go.

Working again this week so I'll be around this evening to check out what everyone's up to!!!

Happy Snooping!!!

P.S if you arrived here by chance click on the WOYWW link and hop over to the "Queen of Wednesday's Blog....Julia to her friends" and find out what everyone has been up to. xxx

The Sunday Stampers Challenge

Last Sunday Hels Sheridan "ink on my fingers" picked "Silver" as the theme for this weeks challenge.

and here is my attempt.....Hope you like it!

Top square is platinum UTEE stamped with Paper Artsy stamp and highlighted with pink Viva deco metallic paint. The words are Darkroom Door.

Second Square is Silver Ferro stamped with a Hero Arts stamp. (remember to wet your stamp before stamping into Ferro and clean it straight away!!)

Third square is thick layer of Silver Croco which I left to crack overnight - I'm not normally that patient but you do get a better effect!!

Last square is Silver Ferro again stamped using the free stamp out of this months Craft Stamper and highlighted with pink viva paint and an
Idea-ology Philosophy Tag and silver ribbon.

The Flower is Hero Arts - which is my favourite stamp at the moment. I stamped it on Claudine Hellmuths sticky back canvas using silver ink and Aged Mahogany DI

Can't wait for next weeks challenge as it's Hels 100th birthday....well not actually Hels...... her Sunday challenge is 100 weeks old!!!

Thanks for stopping by...x

WOYWW - Sorry I missed last week!!

Too many Birthdays.

Had a really mad couple of weeks. My Dad's 75th birthday was 2 weeks ago, my Sister's 50th birthday was last Wednesday and today its the turn of my Mum (better not tell you her age!!!) and my gorgeous Granddaughter who is 3.

So here is what I've been up to........
This is the card I made for my Mum. (hope she doesn't read my blog before I get to give it to her!!) I used Hero Arts Poly Clear Big Flower stamp and Claudine Hellmuth's sticky back canvas plus all the orange shades of Distress Inks...........my fav colours at the moment!!

This is the card I made for my Granddaughter Katie-Louise, no stamp's and no inks which is really unusual for me.......... The Castle template and idea came from "Anna Marie Designs" and I know she is going to love it!!!

Now to my sister's card.........This wasn't the one under the paper towel two weeks ago.... I had a change of heart and started all over again!!!! I used one of the new Ten Second Studio molds and pearl metal and lots and lots of Glimmer mist and decided this was more appropriate. (not very good picture - sorry!!)

As for the other card......................It is still work in progress!!!!!

Dad's Card - Oops forgot to take a picture!!!

Last but not least here is my desk......
The Hero Art stamps I used in my Mum's card are on the left and for all of you who spotted the pearls in my last blog.......It's a phone dangly that my Mum made me for " the best scissors in the world" so I wouldn't loose them or get them mixed up when I went to Artsy Crafts wknd - really good idea don't you think??

See you next week......hopefully!!! xxx
